ABOUT ME
I’m a full time mediator. Before starting my mediation practice, I litigated and tried cases in Atlanta for almost twenty years.

In my private law practice, I represented individuals in workplace discrimination and harassment cases, wage and hour collective actions, restrictive covenants, and executive separations. I also advised small business clients and an occasional high profile celebrity on employment matters. After practicing with two of the premier employee rights firms in Georgia, I co-founded the employee rights firm Legare, Attwood & Wolfe, LLC, where I practiced from 2015-2024, when I became a full time mediator.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE FROM MY PRIVATE LAW PRACTICE BEFORE BECOMING A MEDIATOR
01
As co-counsel to Eleanor Attwood at Legare, Attwood & Wolfe, LLC, I represented the plaintiff in a $1.2M sexual harassment and retaliation jury verdict in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Oliveira v. City of Atlanta, N.D.Ga. Civil Action No. 1:14-CV-00708-CC.
02
I have been lead or co-lead plaintiffs’ counsel in multiple wage and hour collective actions resulting in conditional certification and favorable collective settlements.
03
While at the firm Buckley & Klein, LLP, I co-chaired a trial to a $500,000 jury verdict for a MARTA manager who reported race discrimination at work. After the judge granted JMOL, I argued the case in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and got the verdict restored. Connelly v. MARTA, N.D. Ga. Civil Action No. 1:11-cv-02108, and Eleventh Circuit Appeal No. 13-14032 (published order).
04
While at the firm Buckley & Klein, LLP, I argued before the Georgia Supreme Court and won a unanimous decision for Atlanta firefighters who were stripped of their ranks without due process of law. Barham v. City of Atlanta, 292 Ga. 375, 375 (Ga. 2013). You can watch a video of the argument here.
05
While at Buckley & Klein, LLP, I represented a female executive who was denied equal compensation based on gender and reached a confidential settlement of more than $2 million.

BEHIND THE SCENES
I grew up in a small town in rural northeast Pennsylvania, the oldest of three siblings and the son of a lawyer and a public school teacher. As a child, I dreamed of becoming an astronaut. In college, I tried to design a zero gravity experiment so NASA would let me fly on its weightless training aircraft, the “Vomit Comet.” Only my poor eyesight, terrible math skills, and motion sickness dashed my hopes of flying in space. Later, when I discovered my love of politics and philosophy, I was set to follow my father’s footsteps into the law. Since my dad also cursed me with a life-long love of Philadelphia sports teams, which has caused me immeasurable pain, I consider us even.
I came to Atlanta to attend Emory Law School and have proudly called the city home ever since. I live in Atlanta’s Northlake neighborhood with my wife, Cristiane, who is a brilliant corporate attorney, our two sons, and our dog, Ace. In my life outside of mediation, I love hiking and being outdoors. I also love reading fiction, history or anything to do with the space program, watching horrendous science fiction movies, practicing karate and jiujitsu, creative writing, and playing the piano very badly. My family and I are working on a goal of hiking in every US National Park.
